What is Owen Children’s Foundation?

Owen Children’s Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization in Uganda dedicated to supporting refugee children through education, talent development, and child protection initiatives.

We are licensed to operate anywhere in Uganda. Currently, our programs are based in Adjumani District, a major refugee-hosting area in Northern Uganda.

At present, our programs focus exclusively on refugee children, particularly those living in refugee settlements and host communities in Adjumani District.

What programs does Owen Children’s Foundation run?

Our current programs focus on:

  • Education support for refugee children

  • Talent discovery and development

  • Child protection and safe spaces

  • Life skills and resilience building

Refugee children often face disrupted education, emotional trauma, and limited opportunities due to displacement. Our work is designed to address these challenges while restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity.

Children are identified through community engagement, collaboration with parents, caregivers, and local leaders within refugee settlements, based on vulnerability and need.

How do you ensure transparency and accountability?

We maintain clear records of activities and finances, conduct regular internal reviews, and share updates with donors and partners on how support is being used.

Yes. We provide program updates, photos (with consent), and impact summaries to donors and partners whenever possible.

Yes. Donors may choose a specific cause or allow funds to be used where they are most needed.

Can I volunteer with Owen Children’s Foundation?

Yes. We welcome volunteers who share our values and are committed to working respectfully with refugee children, subject to safeguarding guidelines.

Yes. We partner with individuals, organizations, NGOs, and institutions that align with our mission and values.
